Seems to work great. Time will tell. Some of the gel coat is flaked off on one side, otherwise 5 stars. Suggestion - make the gap between the back of the platform and the boat mounts bigger so it is easier to fit a strap between this and the transom for the tie downs for us outboard guys!Instalation is confusing, I can't put wholes in the boat not knowing what's goes where?Hardware kit included was not very good. Most of the screws only had threads on the ends and not up to the head so they would not snug up. I had to go to hardware store to get stainless steel hardware which cost me another $8. Laddler does not stay up very well, have to use bunge coord to keep up, kinda hard to pull back up when in boatI received the platform an telescoping ladder, but with the wrong instructions and diagram. Not sure if I have the right hardware. Worse is that there is no one to contact to rectify the issue.This platform did not hold up. The first trip on the boat, fiberglass cracked where the ladder attaches. The second trip, it completely failed. I now have to haul the boat out of the slip put on dry dock and replace the swim platform. The ladder was used by one adult(165lbs) and two kids(65& 85lbs).i installed ladder it looked strong enough but the first time we used it it bent under less than 90 degrees made it very difficult to get on board. i called and left a couple messages i cannot get anyone to respond even sent an email with my phone number i am extremely unhappy with my purchase i cant even use it .I got this despite the poor review because I needed something fast. It is not very well made with unfinished edges and very tight tolerances on the sliding ladder that makes it difficult to extend the ladder. I will be trying a different ladder the next time I am in need.It is a sturdy boat ladder.The platform is junk and unable to handle loads of people climbing on. I had another ladder that spreads the load evenly across teh bottom that I had on another boat so I kept this but if I hadn't had that, the mounting system for the ladder that comes with this kit easily breaks the platform. DO NOT BUY THIS!We had to reinforce the back wall of the boat to strengthen the wall to support the ladder. It is well made and we hope to use it this week.Not as sturdy as I was hoping with 3 steps on the laser there is a lot of leverage on the bottom ring and feels like it will break brackets out of the fibreglass deck. But time will tell. Better than my other ladder that was 30 yrs old and sun faded and ready to fall off.
